Overview

The Langtang Himal and the Jugal Himal are renowned for their picturesque and distinctive peaks. The valley between them is one of the world’s most beautiful.This narrow valley lies just north of Kathmandu and was designated Nepal’s first National park in 1971. Trekking here offers the opportunity to explore Tamang villages, to climb small peaks and to see glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. Much of the route is through semi-tropical forests where moss covers the ground and lush fern and orchids cling to tree trunks. During the full moon in August, the sacred lake of Gosainkund is the goal of thousands of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1334m/4376ft).


Upon arrival in Kathmandu after the unforgettable experience of flying across the Himalayas You will be met at the airport by our staff. [Overnight at Kathmandu] 

Day 2 : day Tour world Heritage site in Kathmandu (1,334m/4,376ft).


Today we will do tour in Kathmandu valley's cultural heritage site, which are enlisted by world heritage site in 1979, the Buddhist and Hindu monument of medieval period of creations, those are worth to see to know about Nepal. [Overnight in Kathmandu]

Day 3 : Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1420m/4658ft).


We drive to Syabrubesi, the main town of the region, it may take 7hrs and a serious ascent over the Nourdhara ridge is rewarded with views of Langtang II (6,571m). Continuing through cedar, pine and rhododendron forests, descend towards Syabru. This is a pleasant village set above corn and millet fields. Approaching the Langtang Khola, the route passes along terraced hillsides and through thick forests first oak, maple and alder, then bamboo abounding with bird life and langur monkeys. Day 4 : Syabrubesi to Lamahotel (2840m/9317ft).


The trail passes across the dense forest, through the ground covered with moss, epiphytic orchids clinging to the trees. From within-tropical jungle, glimpses of the glittering white Langtang Lirung make a startling contrast. Emerging from the forests, the trail, often lined by Mani walls, crosses wide meadows and yak pasture with Yala and Ganchempo Peaks above. On the way you get to observe the amazing wild Beehive, langur and red panda occasionally. [Overnight at Lamahotel] 

Day 5 : Lamahotel to Langtang valley (3420m/11220ft).


On this trip you get to view the Langtang, Lirung peak .Langtang valley is inhabited by the Tibetan origin Bhotia and Tamang people. The main religion prevalent in this area is Buddhism and to some extent they follow the Shamanism. They worship the Langtang Lirungs a holy mountain. The people live on the farming, herding the Yak and Chhauri. The route passes through the Langtang National park where the wild animals are preserved. [Overnight at Langtang Valley] 

Day 6 : Langtang to Kyanjing Gompa (3900m/12795ft).


A suspension bridge leads across the Lirung glacier onto the rocky moraine. In Kyanjin Gompa, the highest village, is the Gompa from which the village was named as well as a cheese factory. The cheese is specially made on yak milk which is very famous in this area. Langtang Lirung in the northwest, Langtang Ri, Yela peak, Scout peak and several types of peaks are observed southeast. A day here can be spent relaxing and enjoying the scenery or climbing a small peak (4,200m) from where you can enjoy a view of the entire Langtang Lirung. [Overnight at Kyanjing Gompa] 

Day 7 : Kyanjing(explore day beautiful Himalaya).


Today we hike up the mountain for greatest views of Langtang Lirung and Scout peak Yala peak. It is one of the gorgeous view from certain hike we also explore around the village along with Yak Cheese factory and monastery. [Overnight at Kyanjing]
 

Day 8 : Kyanjing Gompa to Langtang village (3420m/11220ft).


Descending back down the Langtang Khola, we will spend a night at Langtang village. This is a settlement of flat-topped Tibetan-style houses surrounded by enclosed fields of potatoes, buckwheat, wheat and barley. We retrace our steps past water-driven mills and prayer wheels to Syabru Khola. It will take 3hrs. [Overnight at Langtang Vailage] 

Day 9 : Langtang village to Thulo Syabru (1975m/6479ft).


The route follows the Langtang river to descent till the Chhahare and then it again ascent up till 400m to reach upper Syabrubesi. The traditional flat-topped Tibetan houses, yak, chhauri, agriculture- based people welcomes you. To the northwest you get the amazing view of some part of Ganesh himal. Day 10 : Thulo Syabrubesi to Sing Gumpa(3300m/10826ft).


One of the gentle up route of the trek it passes through the thick forest to reach Temma. As you climb up, Ganesh himal and Tibet border mountains and Jugal range, Bhumasherphu, Dorjelakpa, Yala peak, and Jugal Himal range are viewed in the east. At Sing Gompa there is a famous Yak cheese factory as well as the neglected Gompa with its 1,000-armed Avalokitesvara statue. [Overnight at SingGumba]
 

Day 11 : Sing Gumpa to Gosainkunda lake(Holy lake)(4380m/14370ft).


You have to travel through a pine forest including juniper, and rhododendron, with the glorious view of Ganesh himal and other Himalayan ranges till you reach Cholang pati. It follows gentle ascending path which comprises the magnificent views of Ganesh himal, Langtang and Lirung himal on the north and green hills on the south. Gosainkunda is one of the religiously important lake. On the full moon day of August (july-Aug) thousands of pilgrims visits the lake in large number following the religious importance of the lake.). This area marks the transition from the moist mountain forests to the north and the dry scrub of the southern slopes. Gosainkunda is the third lake (4,380m) where there is a shrine housing a revered lingam symbolizing Shiva. According to legend, Shiva released the waters of the holy lakes with his trident, and the black rock in the center of the lake is said to be his head.It is believed that when you bath in the lake water you get the purity and eternal strength. There are four lakes: Suryakunda, Gosainkunda, Bhairavkunda, and Swarswati kunda. [Overnight at Gosainkunda] 

Day 12 : Gosainkunda pass to Ghopte (3400m/11154ft).


Route follows the Suryakunda lake as you head for the prayer flags a top the Gosainkunda  Pass (4,610m). The descent is through Kharka to the summer village of Tharepati. From the chorten on the ridge above the village there are fine views of the Jugla Himal, Rolwaling Himal. [Overnight at Ghopte]















 

Day 13 : Phedi to Tharepati (3630m/11909ft).


The route follows the narrow path amidst the rocky mountains with a zigzag cross. You have to go across the forest of pine, bamboo bush, juniper & rhododendron. A beautiful wild bird on this mountainous area makes you relieve your tiredness with their chirps and songs. From the Tharepani you get the views of Ganesh himal, Rolwaling himal. Day 14 : Tharepati to Kutungsang(2470m/8103ft).


From Tharepati the route descends down following the rhododendron forest which gives the beautiful red laden color to the whole forest during Feb-March till april.You may get the chance to interact with the local Tamang people and observe their livelihood and culture in closer aspect as you pass through this ethnic community who are far away from the modernized world. Day 15 : Kutungsang to Chisapani(2215m/7267ft).


The trail descent down till Tamang village. which gives you the rare chance of peeking into the lifestyle and tradition of the Tamang people. The journey promises you the rural lifestyle of Nepalese people. From Bhanjyang you climb up till 300m to Chisopani from where you get to enjoy the view of Ganesh himal, Jugal himal, and Everest long range. The terrain of the farmed land makes a beautiful scene itself. Rhododendron forests and terraced hillsides mark the trail to Chisopani. [Overnight at Chisapani]
 

Day 16 : Chisapani to Kathmandu(1334m/4376ft).


To reach the Shivapuri National Park, you take a small climb into the forest. As you cross the Borthang bhanjyang, it descends towards the Kathmandu valley. We have to walk past the villages with multiple ethnic groups. We come across the very first electricity hydropower of Nepal Judha mini hydropower, which supplies the water to the Kathmandu valley and we reach the Sundarijaal from where we drive to the Kathmandu. Day 17 : Departure to Home


We head to airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Our journey and services in Nepal ends from today for this trip, Visit Nepal Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd representative will drop you to Airport for your best memorable of glance of Himalayan.
